• Mix a mild cleaning shampoo with water to prepare a diluted cleaning solution. Use a sponge to clean your carpet without being too aggressive. Use the same solution to clean the fringes. Rinse the solution and make sure that your carpet is perfectly clean.
• Wool carpets are not the fastest to dry. Nevertheless, you need to make sure that they are perfectly dry before they are ready for use. The best way is to let your rug air dry. The sun will prevent the moisture from accumulating which can cause a foul odor.
• Vacuum the carpet once it is dry to make sure that it is fluffy.

Deep cleaning your wool carpet once a year will keep it in excellent condition. You might even want to use UV filters to avoid the sun damaging the fibers of the carpet.
